A photographers Dream – Tavaura, Fiji They say travel feeds your soul. I think it’s safe to say I won’t be hungry for a while. I knew when I booked my trip to Tavaura, that it was going to be incredible. My boyfriend had been there multiple times and he spoke of it in a way that made it sound incomparable to any other place in the world. He made it seem so special. Special doesn’t even describe what I discovered. Only accessible by boat, I’d say this heart-shaped island has more heart than any other place I have visited before. The island only has an area of 29 acres and you can walk around it in about 30 minutes. It’s near the main Fijian island, Viti Levu, and is surrounded by a coral reef, which makes for some epic surfing. Cloudbreak, being the most famous of the surrounding waves, is a powerful left, and is a mile off the island that breaks over coral reef. It truly is a photographer’s dream.
